Mat Simmons, a 20 year business veteran and a 18 year veteran in real estate and investing. With almost $400 million under management and $650 million in total transactions since 2014, Mat has always been seen as a forward thinking contrarian business person. From humble beginnings starting in 2006 with single family and affordable housing investments to TSG Partners, Inc.(The Simmons Group Partners Inc) in 2011 and ultimately transitioned to SIMMONS & Co. over the years as we have grown and re-organized vertically, SIMMONS is one of the fastest growing privately held alternative investment companies with a focus on Multi-family and Affordable Housing real estate in the country. Constantly looking for advantages in an overcrowded market, Mat has positioned SIMMONS in a way that will ensure future growth and success by building generational wealth for our investors.

SIMMONS is the parent company to SIMM Capital and is the umbrella that holds all of our other ancillary businesses including Cutwater Living, our management group, White Label Development, our property development and build to rent firm along with other complimentary businesses including maintenance, 3rd party management and more.

As part of his duties, Mat oversees the operational, managerial, and support positions for the company, ensuring the effective placement and management of process, technology, and data – empowering the company to achieve its business objectives. He believes people are one of the firm’s greatest assets, and he constantly challenge the organization in its path to be the best for its partners, investors, and residents, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations with high standards of professionalism, responsibility, and accountability across not only SIMMOSN but each subsidiary as well.

Mat enjoys spending time with his 2 kids, jumping from baseball to swimming and basketball and football. He is a huge car junky with a collection he is proud of ranging from classics to exotics. He enjoys boating and wakeboarding in the summer and snowboarding in the winter with his kids.
